This blog is about my own spiritual growth. Its purpose is to share with you the forgiveness lessons and insights I’ve learned through my daily practice of A Course in Miracles, a spiritual self-study manual that has radically transformed my life. In so sharing, my hope is that you will benefit from my own learning examples.

In 2003, I read a book called The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard and instantly became an avid student of the Course’s teachings. As I got better at applying its principles of true forgiveness to all the areas my life, I began experiencing more inner peace than I’d ever imagined was possible. Since then, I can honestly say that my overall level of happiness has continually increased, and many of my old fears, neurosis, and problems have simply disappeared!

In all fairness though, I must say that I still struggle everyday in disciplining my mind to choose forgiveness over judgment. True forgiveness is far from easy. It’s simple (once you understand the Course’s metaphysics), but it’s not usually experienced as easy. It takes great desire and diligence to replace our knee-jerk tendencies to judge and cast blame with a new tendency to habitual forgive them. The good news is that forgiveness CAN be mastered, and the rewards of practicing it are more valuable than anything this shabby world could ever offer…

For this reason, there is nothing I am more passionate about than sharing the benefits of true forgiveness with you who are my Self.  If you are not already a student of A Course in Miracles, then some of what I say in here may sound confusing, ridiculous, or even blasphemous!  It is not my purpose to “convert” anyone to my way of thinking though.  My only hope is that the insights I’ve had along my own journey may accelerate you along yours.

In Love & Peace,

Erik
